The Exynos 2200 in the S22 series was the closest to its competitor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, the Exynos variant of the S22 series still lagged behind its Snapdragon counterpart in some scenarios.
So, Samsung decided to take their time and come up with a better solution for the next release, likely the S23 Series is running Snapdragon chips all over the world.
However, rumors about Exynos chips have been circulating for a while, and now there are suggestions that the next-generation Samsung flagship, the S24 Ultra may come with an Exynos chipset in selected regions. Although, the chipset inside the S24 Ultra is supposed to be the Exynos 2400.
Amidst all this, the Exynos 2300, (which was supposed to power the S23 Series), has recently been spotted on Geekbench running a mysterious device model named SM-919O.
At this point, the fifth generation foldables are yet to launch, and it is pretty much confirmed to have ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy‘ inside, similar to the S23 Series. Another possibility could be the S23 FE, which is rumored to launch in Q4 2023. However, the model name of the S23 FE is going to be SM-Gxxx (FE models start with G), confirming that the spotted device is something else.

Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) suggests that this mysterious model may be another version of the S23 Ultra running on the Exynos 2300.
However, it is possible that we may never see or experience this Exynos version of the S23 Ultra, as Samsung is most likely testing the chipset with their best available hardware instead of launching another version of it alongside the Snapdragon variant.
Nevertheless, one thing is clear: we will soon see Samsung flagships with different chipsets once again. Samsung is considering the development significant enough to offer it alongside the Snapdragon variants once more. We will update you as new information becomes available.
