The Galaxy S24 might feel uncomfortable to hold

Galaxy S24 flat design with sharp edges

Aside from the Galaxy S24 Ultra leaks, the base Galaxy S24 is also getting into the spotlight. The output for now is a 5K 360° render of the Galaxy S24, which reveals the design and especially highlights the frame.

@Onleaks, in collaboration with Smartprix, has revealed a 360° video of the base Galaxy S24. The video shows a completely flat design with sharp edges, like the iPhone 14 series. Unlike the Galaxy S23 and S23+, the sides aren’t slightly rounded anymore, and the edges seem to be contoured like Apple did with the iPhone 15 series.

Although the sharp, flat design looks premium, it does not feel very comfortable to hold. And this was the case for the previous iPhones, especially for the heavier Pro models.

According to MySmartPrice, the dimensions of the Galaxy S24 are nearly identical to the Galaxy S23. Moreover, GalaxyClub claims that the Galaxy S24 has a 100 mAh battery capacity. So it will be slightly heavier, so more uncomfortable it gets.

Although the Galaxy S24 series is rumored to boast a different battery packaging technology, namely stacked battery which is supposed to hold the same capacity all while being lighter. So, we will have to see if it’s enough to counter the added weight of the extra 100mAh.

The Galaxy S24 Plus also reportedly follows the same design language. The only difference is that it is slightly bigger and heavier due to a larger 4755 mAh battery.

Other noteworthy changes to the of the Galaxy S24 series include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2200 chipset depending on your region,

My take on it

While the design may not be comfortable for your hand, using the phone with a case applied to it might solve the problem very easily. A case can also save you a lot more money than its price if you are okay with covering up the premium finish for peace of mind.

I would also like to know whether you’re using your phone with a case on it or without.
