Why OnePlus 13T is Special

The OnePlus 13T isn’t just another addition to the OnePlus 13 series — it’s actually a special offering from OnePlus in 2025. It looks entirely different, it’s compact, yet it packs almost all the positives of the top-of-the-line OnePlus 13 — well, almost.

The key selling point of this phone is its compact 6.32-inch size. It’s also quite lightweight at 185 grams. Despite this smaller form factor, it houses a massive 6,200mAh battery — even larger than the 6,000mAh cell in the bigger, heavier 6.82-inch OnePlus 13 (which weighs 210g).Yes, the OnePlus 13T is an achievement for OnePlus and a compelling option for anyone who prefers small phone. Thi if you compare with other compact devices such as the Galaxy S25 that’s lighter but has a much smaller battery or the Xiaomi 15 that weighs almost the same but the battery is still smaller.

That said, not everything is perfect. The OnePlus 13T lacks an ultrawide camera, and its 2x telephoto lens — while decent — falls short compared to the 3x zoom on the Galaxy S25 and vivo X200 Pro Mini, or even the 2.6x on the Xiaomi 15.

Performance-wise, it features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip — the same as in the OnePlus 13 — and OnePlus claims there’s still enough room for heat dissipation thanks to a compact board design. It’s also backed by the same performance optimizations as its bigger sibling.

It also includes the Display P2 chip from the OnePlus 13 for improved color tuning, along with the G1 Wi-Fi chip for better network management. Alongside the image processing improvements of the OnePlus 13, the AI-based photo editing features will also be part of this compact phone. All in all, OnePlus is positioning this device as a capable flagship — one that just happens to be compact and lightweight.

The OnePlus 13T is already available in China, but it’s still unclear if or when it will launch internationally.
